In recent years, the gluten-free movement has been expanding while the number of individuals with Celiac's disease remains the same (about 1 in every 133 people). As the following infographic shows, gluten intolerant individuals account for just 5% of gluten-free purchases, begging us to ask the question: why? Whether for other health benefits or simply because that's what is on the shelves these days, people are still going gluten-free crazy. Changes in your diet to get healthier are great, but only if there is a truly beneficial reason behind it.
